ALDO are well known for leading the trends in the fashion footwear sphere – they consistently release seasonal collections that are bang on and this spring/ summer is no exception…

With a footwear range that is a wonderfully diverse blend of classic and trend led styles, ALDO’s customer base is as diverse yet it is the new trends that have captured my attention (and that of my bank balances for that matter).

Festival Boho brings stacked heels, fringing and tan leather.  These laid back neutrals will go with any outfit ensemble while the Tribe Vibe story is the opposite with chevrons, opposing prints and colours, urban safari style and mixed textures.  It’s not just footwear that these trends address either, you’ll find handbags of every size and style, accessories, jewelry and eyewear.

Beads and Blues sees the hot new trend of delicate beading grace down ankles and adorn toes, with denim covering everything from knotted detail flats, trainers and stilettoes.  You can match your hells to your handbag with this look too, plus metallic are still popular with bags and footwear, adding a flash of interest and personality into your look.

There is a sporty vibe for men with the Sneak Scene story of casual kicks and tonal finishes while for women, trainers have an injection of bold colours and customization.

A new-found confidence in fashion has arrived, it’s about owning and creating your own style.  I’ve also noticed the amazing range of footwear accessories to customize your shoes.  Clip-on pom poms, patches and velvet laces allow you to turn an ordinarily plain trainer or shoe into your kind of shoe for a dose of quirky cool.

Finally, a range of pastel shoes, bold primary-coloured mules with co-ord bags, and fun prints such as pouty lip illustrations covering the soles, colour blocking and ombre heels all present a fun and delicious edge to footwear this season.  It is so refreshing to see so much colour and choice in this store, it makes me feel like summer is already here.

Every month, ALDO has a different story in the windows to highlight the styles and what is trending that month so it’s a good way to keep on top of what’s hot each season.
