The weather throughout April has been a crazy blend of random downpours and unexpected heat waves. I’ll be sitting on the beach enjoying the sun and developing my tan one day, then I’ll have to cover up that tan with a cardigan the next! Brr.
So with the weather moving from April Showers to Early Summer, what’s a girl to wear?
I’ve hunted down some key extras at Churchill Square to add to your wardrobe that make sure you’re prepared for any eventuality:
1 Choose a lightweight raincoat in a spring colour so you don’t feel too hot if the temperature is high but so you’re also ready for the rain should it decide to suddenly pour
2 I always keep an umbrella AND sunglasses in my bag so I’m always prepared
3 As for shoes, I love wellies, especially in fun colours. Invest in a pair now and you can use them for festival season too. But if the sun is shining brightly though, these just won’t do. I wear pumps, pretty plimsoles or slip ons. Each look great in the sun with a summer dress but are closed-toed for the random rain possibilities
4 Layer your clothes. Team jeans with a tee and wear a slimline wrap cardigan or kimono on top and finish with a sleeveless duster jacket. Peel off layer by layer if things suddenly hot up
