Ok, I’m going to confess. I’ve never been a fan of crocs although I do like them for kids as they’re practical and comfortable, and they come in fun colours. You think the same right?
Well when crocs asked me to pay them a visit to discover far more designs beyond their classic clog, I was dubious…but also surprised. Here is what I found that may well surprise you too…
Let’s first look at the technology
All Crocs™ shoes feature Croslite™ material, a proprietary, revolutionary technology that gives each pair of shoes the soft, comfortable, lightweight, non-marking and odor-resistant qualities. Inside most designs, you’ll find bubbled insoles that massage the bottom of your feet while others feature the Crocs FIT2U technology™: a stretch cord that links the outsole pods together and stretches front to back. This means that the sole moves and bends with your feet as you walk for comfort and support. Who knew?
I came across these patent-looking glossy wellington boots for women, available in long and ankle length. Now if they were in a store I often frequent, styled up alongside a cute tea dress and rain mac, I’d definitely pick them up and try them on. So these were a pleasant find that I have to admit I would buy.
I also loved the suede wedge ankle boots – super cute with an oversized grunge sweater, skinny jeans and chunky woollen socks peeping over the top. But since they feature the Croslite™ foam footbed – you’ve got plenty of cushion that makes you feel like you’ve tied a mattress to each foot! With the Crocs FIT2U technology™ too, they’re extra supportive and comfortable. In navy, they’re a great autumn wardrobe addition but being pregnant, they’re the fashionable boot but with the comfort of a slipper I need right now. Great if you’re pregnant like me or have a job or lifestyle where you’re on your feet for long periods of time. The chunky men’s desert boots also feature this and look like any other but with all the extra perks.
You’ll also find ballet pumps for women, loafers for men and of course an abundance of fun styles for kids. The jibitz are little charms that they can add to their crocs to personalise them and even scent them! Choose from current characters like Minions and Star Wars to flowers and cars.
As we approach the wetter, colder season, the Kids’ CrocsLights Gust Boot are lightweight boots perfect for the playground or quick trips around town. They’re easy to get on, importantly (what a nightmare kids shoes can usually be!), and are light enough to make walking easier. They also light up for fun (and to help keep kids visible).
Finally, the Kids’ Handle It Rain Boots are fully waterproof and the handles make it easier for them (and you) to pull on and off. I love all the bright colours too.
So, will you venture in now?
