I’ve long been a fan of Office with some of my coolest and long-lasting footwear buys coming from this store. I recall a pair of pointed, bright red moccasins that always drew in compliments and stayed with me for years. Office to this day still provides the same quality, variety and individuality that they always have.
I was therefore thrilled when I head Churchill Square were opening a new, larger store. The Office around the corner from the Centre was never quite big enough for me so this one offers us all more styles, more colours, more choice and all in glossy surroundings with cool music and even cooler staff.
Sales Associate, Morgan showed me around and shared the trends now and for autumn. ‘Colour is everywhere for men and women as designs get bolder and more daring’, Morgan says, ‘As we get closer to autumn, the men’s summer weaved desk shoes go patent and smarter, plus brogues with textured fabrics will be hot for men and women’.
Morgan continues, ‘Women have been wearing tie up sandals, a move on from the Gladiator sandal – these will continue in colours like navy and orange for autumn as well as tie up flats in 70s-style suede’.
Morgan also tells us to look out for contrasting textures on shoes such as ponyskin and patent, animal print and suede and metallics with suede fringing. I love metallic anytime of year, especially rose gold and copper and there will be plenty of this around.
Kids can get in on the action too as they cater from newborn through to teens. Expect cute overload when looking at baby Converse, Nike and Toms. It’s great to see so much variety for everyone, not just in ages and size but in tastes too. You can’t fail to find something you love.
