Supercuts: A Pit Stop Glamouriser

Have you ever been to Supercuts on the ground floor of Churchill Square?  Want to know what it offers and if it’s for you?  Check out my before and after results to see what I discovered…

The Vibe

Supercuts is tucked away on the ground floor opposite Mothercare.  It is light, bright and airy and considered a no-fuss approach with a drop-in service.  Manager, Lacey explains how the no-appointment service brings in a varied customer base since it suits people who want to pop in while they’re busy doing other things.

When I visited on a Wednesday morning, it was full of young women cramming in their colour retouches or a indulgent blow dry mid-shop, but Supercuts house everyone from students and fashion types looking for a quick style fix to kids, their parents and even grandparents.

The salon told me how they do a lot of wash and blow-dries with the after work crowd looking to quaff their tresses for a night out, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when people go out straight after – looking hot to trot.

As a multi-tasking Mum, I like the idea of getting all my shopping done, including all the kiddy essentials at Mothercare and then getting my sons and my hair cut all in an hour.

If you’re on a shopping spree and fancy trying your luck, you could have your hair and nails done simultaneously thanks to their guest nail bar.  Supercuts also sell all your hair essentials with brands including TIGI Bed Head, Wella, Paul Mitchell, Redken, GHD and Moroccan Oil plus their own brand, Regis.

Prices and Times

There is always an offer on here.  The products are at consistently great prices while the cut&colour packages proved so popular, Supercuts decided to run it year round.  You can get a colour with a free cut and blow dry from as little as £42.95.

Haircuts start at £14.95 and £9.95 for kids* while a wash and blowdry starts from just £14.45.

The opening hours are the same as the Centre – another bonus to suit you.  So you can go on a Sunday 11am-5pm and up to 7pm on a Friday and Saturday.**

My Experience

I had a wash and blow dry, which was complete in 35 minutes from start to finish!  I didn’t feel rushed at all and loved how I walked out of there looking and feeling fabulous in minutes – perfect if you’re super busy.

As you can see from the (very embarrassing) before shot to the glossy after shot, my frizz has vanished, my lank roots have been revived and the blow dry has restored shine and smoothness and given my style bounce.  Someone even said I looked like Holly Willoughby that day.  I know, they obviously need glasses but I’ll take it!

If you want a pit stop to get your hair done, fast and effectively – Supercuts is for you.
